As the CEO and Lead Wedding Planner, I bring over seven years of experience creating refined, thoughtfully curated weddings with seamless execution at the forefront. My background in professional event planning was shaped during my time at Texas A&M University (Class of 2019 — Whoop!), where I earned Certificates in Tourism and Professional Event Management and gained hands-on experience producing large-scale, high-profile events.
From marathons to triathlons across Texas and as far as Alaska, these early experiences sharpened my ability to manage complex logistics with precision while delivering elevated guest experiences.
Today, I call the mountains home, where I live with my husband, our son, Finley, and our two dogs. I specialize in outdoor and destination weddings, particularly in the Colorado mountains but travel throughout the United States and internationally to create elevated celebrations in breathtaking locations.
Life here has deeply influenced my approach to weddings…intentional, grounded, and inspired by natural beauty. I believe true luxury lies in a planning experience that feels effortless, personal, and deeply connected to place. My role is to thoughtfully guide you through every step, anticipate each detail, and ensure your wedding day unfolds seamlessly. So you can be fully present and immersed in every moment.

I am an elementary teacher with a lifelong love for organization, creativity, and meaningful experiences. I studied at Colorado Christian University, where I graduated in just three years while playing collegiate basketball and working as a CNA. During college, I also stepped into the role of Event Coordinator for the athletic department. This experience truly sparked my passion for planning.
It was there that I discovered how much I love bringing a vision to life, managing details behind the scenes, and creating events that feel seamless and memorable for everyone involved. That passion has naturally carried into wedding planning, where organization and heart matter just as much.
I met Whitney in early 2024 and feel incredibly honored to learn from her and grow within this role. I especially enjoy the digital side of planning, continuously improving our wedding portal, streamlining processes, and enhancing our social media presence to better serve our couples. I look forward to working alongside you to make your day everything you've ever dreamed of.

After graduating, my husband, our two dogs, and I left Texas to explore what Colorado had to offer. I began working as an Event Coordinator for an all-inclusive event company, managing weddings and corporate events across the state, where I handled everything from planning and catering to décor and florals.
Inspired by these experiences and the breathtaking beauty of Colorado, I founded Candlelight Events. This journey deepened my passion for creating unforgettable weddings and events, and I realized how fulfilling it was to help couples bring their dream celebrations to life. Now, I combine my expertise, creativity, and love for the state to help couples plan their perfect wedding in one of the most stunning places on earth.
